The Future of the Erie Seawolves

In 2011, Greg Coleman was named President of the Erie SeaWolves, Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers.  During Coleman’s tenure, the SeaWolves have secured UPMC as a stadium naming rights partner, received a Commitment to Erie Award for Community Service, earned the Eastern League’s top promotional award, and achieved franchise records in both sponsorships and merchandise sales.  He assisted in the 2015 sale of the franchise to current owner, Fernando Aguirre, and more recently worked with local officials to secure $12 million in state funding for UPMC Park upgrades.

In his 22-year Minor League Baseball career, Greg has held senior leadership positions with the Modesto A’s (Oakland A’s), Trenton Thunder (New York Yankees), and Bowling Green Hot Rods (Tampa Bay Rays).  Coleman is a native of Hamilton, New Jersey and a 1996 graduate of The College of New Jersey.  Greg and his wife Shanda have two children, Kevin and Maggie.

Rotarian Bob Saunders will introduce Greg Coleman.
